Whether you are synthesizing full orchestral arrangements, training voice clones, isolating studio stems, or mixing live DJ sets, we treat your intellectual property and biometric inputs with uncompromising strictness. This policy details our data ingestion, processing, and purging protocols.
2. Processing of Tool-Specific Data
Due to the fragmented nature of our 28+ tool ecosystem, we categorize data collection based on the processing tier you utilize:
2.1 Generative Text & Audio Prompts (Sonic Flow & Elite Master)
When generating output via our flagship text-to-audio engines, we process structural tags, semantic lyrics, and context prompts. These inputs are securely transmitted to our AI clusters. While prompts are recorded for generation, we do not claim ownership over the synthesized output when generated by Pro, Elite, or Ultra tier subscribers. Free Generation logs may be retained temporarily for safety filter refinement.
2.2 Vocal Signatures & Microphone Data (Vocal Lab)
Tools such as the Live Voice Changer and Neural Auto-Tune require granular access to biometric audio signals.Microphone streams are processed locally via WebAssembly/WebAudio API and are never saved to our servers unless you explicitly execute a “Save/Record” command. Uploaded stems for Voice Swap are temporarily cached in secure cloud buckets, processed, and purged automatically.
Biometric Data Purge Protocol: User-uploaded voice samples for “Voice Swap” are encrypted during transit, stored in a temporary volatile cache, and are programmatically purged within 24 hours of the generation task completion. SongUp AI does not retain biometric vocal signatures beyond the immediate processing window.
2.3 Pro-Audio Utilities (Stem Separation, AI Mix & Master)
When uploading proprietary tracks to the Stem Separator, AI Mastering, or Audio-to-MIDI engines, the audio payload flows through encrypted TLS channels. Where possible, inference runs locally on your WebGPU. Cloud inference jobs are executed in highly isolated Kubernetes pods. The source tracks and resultant data (stems, MIDI files, mastered WAVs) remain entirely private to your account and are encrypted at rest.
2.4 Visual & Auxiliary Systems
Data generated via our 4K Image Generator, Cinematic Video Sync, and AI Conversation Assistant are linked to your unified credit ledger. System interactions are monitored purely to combat abuse (CSAM, hate speech) and ensure platform stability.
3. Standard Data Collection & Tracking
- Account Telemetry: Email addresses, authentication tokens via Firebase, and subscription metadata.
- Financial Ledgers: Payment execution is handled by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record. SongUp AI does not store underlying payment instruments (credit card numbers, bank details). We only retain credit balances and invoicing metadata. Your billing data is processed and stored by Lemon Squeezy in accordance with their Privacy Policy.
- Machine Telemetry: Diagnostic logs containing IP addresses, user-agent strings, WebAudio context capabilities, latency metrics, and crash dumps to maintain the stability of our Live DJ and Recording Studio modules.
- Cookies & Local Storage: We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We may also use analytics cookies (e.g., for understanding feature usage). You can manage cookie preferences via your browser settings.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
SongUp AI operates a hybrid architecture. While tools like the DJ Console and Web Editor are client-side, intensive generative tasks are routed to best-in-class GPU clusters for professional-quality output.
Payment Processing — Lemon Squeezy
All subscription and credit purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, who acts as our Merchant of Record. When you make a purchase, Lemon Squeezy collects and processes your payment information (card details, billing address, email) to complete the transaction, manage subscriptions, handle invoicing, and collect applicable sales tax/VAT. Credit Card Data Isolation: SongUp AI staff cannot view, edit, or store your full credit card number or CVV; this data is vaulted exclusively by Lemon Squeezy. We only receive confirmation of successful transactions and subscription status updates.
Zero-Training Promise for Paid Tiers: If you are subscribed to a Starter, Pro, Elite, or Ultra tier, we have executed data agreements ensuring your proprietary audio inputs, uploaded voice clones, and raw generation prompts are not compiled into general pre-training sets by our downstream providers.

6. Purging & Data Lifecycle
As an industrial production suite, you control your raw assets. Projects deleted from your Private Folders are hard-deleted from our databases. Transient files—such as temporary stems created during "AI Blend" mixdowns or raw humming recordings uploaded to "Voice to Music"—are cached securely during the generation cycle and then dropped.
